In a unexpected crossover event that defies usual predictions, the game developer has revealed an virtual crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected holiday event runs from November 25 through December 22, including no-cost bonus story content for Shadows players.
Strange Mission Revealed
According to the formal release, "A strange encounter draws characters Naoe and Yasuke into a fresh adventure, where whispers of banned rituals and fearsome changes resonate through the shadows." The storyline features a "strangely attired woman named Ada" who tasks the duo with traveling into the Gemstone Grotto—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her friend from a secret cult.
The adventure centers on "peculiar tests and a terrifying foe" and is available to all players who have acquired the Yasuke character.
Recognizable Locations and Transformations
The teaser showcases the Underground Chapel from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This important location was previously where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through eras. The trailer concludes with a powerful scene showing a character, likely the prisoner, changing into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.
