EU Officials Condemn US Move as ‘Intimidation’

European leaders such as the French president charged Washington of “coercion and intimidation”, after the visa restrictions were placed on figures that were at the heart of efforts to enact laws governing American tech companies.

“For far too long, European activists have spearheaded coordinated campaigns to pressure American platforms to punish US perspectives they disagree with,” wrote a senior US official in a social media post. “The current administration will not stand for these egregious acts of censorship beyond its borders.”
